Join the CBN Sentinel Site Roundtable
The Sentinel Site Roundtable is a community of practitioners and SSN stakeholders that help to inform development of the SSN. This group, organized under the aegis of the California Biodiversity Network, meets quarterly to discuss SSN implementation, challenges, opportunities, new research, and more. Participating in the Roundtable is a great place to start if you are curious about the SSN and would like to learn more. Click here to join!


Establish a Sentinel Site
An application form to join the network of Sentinel Sites is currently under development and will be added here once available. In the interim, if you are interested in establishing a Sentinel Site, please check out the monitoring protocols to understand what is expected of Sentinel Site hosts.
Other Opportunities to Participate
Besides hosting monitoring equipment on land that you or your organization own or manage, you can support the network in the following ways:
Data protocols: Expand or pilot new monitoring methods
Data analysis: Apply Sentinel Site data to answer biodiversity, climate, and/or management questions
Data processing: Support photo and audio file review
Equipment installation, deployment, and retrieval: Support monitoring equipment setup, calibration, and on-site data collection
