Collin has over 20 years of experience with field instrumentation and setting up real-time networking in difficult settings for large research projects. He is the co-founder of Dendra (https://dendra.science), a time-series management system, which is the primary climate data repository for the UC NRS and the CA-SSN and consists of 260 stations from 8 organizations with ~3 billion datapoints. He is currently working on a project to identify animals in-situ using machine learning and spearheading watershed scale airborne LiDAR analysis & modeling. He is also co-PI on the UCNRS Sentinel Site project with Gary Bucciarelli and Steve Monfort.
