John leads CA-SSN biodiversity monitoring operations across the UC Natural Reserve
System, managing the installation and maintenance of remote sensing equipment at 160 sites spanning 40 reserves. He also leads data management, designing pipelines to ensure that CA-SSN data are standardized, accessible, and impactful. Since 2018, John has worked in wildlife research and management across California with the
University of California, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, and San Francisco Zoo. He holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Cornell University and a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University.
